# Setting Up Parallels My Account

> Register a business account, register your key, invite admins, and add users (copious links to LG)

Once you have purchased Parallels Desktop for Mac Business Edition, you need to create a Parallels account and register your subscription before activating it on your company's Mac computers.

There are two types of Parallels accounts:

* **Personal account** is used to manage subscriptions to Parallels consumer products. It is also required to manage Parallels business products.
* **Business account** is registered to your organization and is used to manage business products, such as Parallels Desktop for Mac Business or Enterprise Edition. A business account is created for your organization when you register a business subscription for the first time.

Any number of personal accounts may be assigned to manage a business account as administrators. If you already have a personal Parallels account, continue to [this chapter](/landing/pd-ag/parallels-desktop-business-administrators-guide/setting-up-parallels-my-account/creating-a-business-account-and-registering-your-license.md).
