# Introduction

This is a standalone document designed to guide system administrators through the process of setting up Parallels Desktop for Mac installations in the so-called [**Single Application Mode**](https://app.gitbook.com/s/CH2PH40adGxVh4iotxRv/mass-deployment-of-parallels-desktop-and-virtual-machines/mass-deployment-using-mac-management-tools/alternative-mass-deployment-via-deployment-package/preparing-the-autodeploy-package/single-application-mode). This option enables you to completely hide the underlying Windows virtual machine setup from the end-users, resulting in one Windows app being "magically" available to run on their Macs, with no background Windows fuss.
