Parallels Desktop Preferences

This section reviews all Parallels Desktop preferences.

Note: If you are using Parallels Desktop in a professional environment, you may find that some Parallels Desktop preferences are not available for modification. This means that your Parallels Desktop installation is part of a corporate Enterprise Edition setup where certain settings are controlled centrally by your company's system administrators.

Starting from Parallels Desktop for Mac 27, the Security tab in Parallels Desktop Preferences has been deprecated, as these settings are now controlled remotely by Enterprise Edition administrators. For private users, we recommend protecting your Mac user accounts and virtual machines using standard authentication methods.
