# Starten von Windows

Um Windows-Anwendungen auf Ihrem Mac zu verwenden, muss Ihre virtuelle Windows-Maschine ausgeführt werden.

Die einfachste Methode zum Starten von Windows ist das [Öffnen einer Windows-Anwendung](/landing/pdfm-ug/v20-de-de/parallels-desktop-for-mac-20-handbuch/windows-auf-dem-mac-benutzen/erste-schritte/offnen-eines-windows-programms.md). Wenn Windows nicht bereits ausgeführt wird, wenn Sie eine Windows-Anwendung öffnen, wird es automatisch im [Coherence-Modus](/landing/pdfm-ug/v20-de-de/parallels-desktop-for-mac-20-handbuch/windows-auf-dem-mac-benutzen/einrichten-der-interaktion-von-windows-mit-macos/verbinden-von-windows-und-macos.md) gestartet.

Sie können Windows auch folgendermaßen starten:

1. Öffnen Sie Parallels Desktop.
2. Doppelklicken Sie im **Kontrollcenter** auf die virtuelle Maschine unter Windows.\

   **Hinweis:** Im **Kontrollcenter** werden alle virtuellen Maschinen aufgelistet, die in Parallels Desktop registriert sind. Wenn eine virtuelle Maschine auf einem externen Laufwerk gespeichert und nicht mit Ihrem Mac verbunden ist, wird das Symbol der virtuellen Maschine als Fragezeichen (?) angezeigt. Um eine solche virtuelle Maschine zu starten, schließen Sie die externe Festplatte an den Mac an.
3. Klicken Sie in dem angezeigten Windows-Fenster auf eine beliebige Stelle.

Windows startet und Sie können Windows-Anwendungen neben macOS benutzen.
