# Delete a Virtual Machine

**prlctl delete** <*vm\_id* | *vm\_name*>

Deletes a virtual machine. The command removes a virtual machine from Parallels Desktop and permanently deletes all its files from the host computer. Once completed, this operation cannot be reversed.
