# Using Guest Debugger

**prlctl guest-debugger** <*vm\_id* | *vm\_name*> \[**--port** <*port*>]

Allows you to connect the debugger to a running virtual machine via the specified port. The debugger must be installed on the same computer where the virtual machine is running.
