Parallels RAS 21
Parallels RAS 21.0 introduces a wide range of new features and enhancements focused on delivering greater security, scalability, and a more seamless user experience. This release expands automation and administrative controls, improves accessibility compliance, and provides deeper insights into cost consumption and potential savings that can be achieved through Parallels RAS. Together, these updates help organizations optimize their environments while preparing for future needs.
Below are some new features that were added in Parallels RAS 21:
Support for Windows Server 2025 Hyper-V Standalone and Cluster.
FSLogix 25.06 support.
Support for new client operating systems, including macOS 26, iOS 26, iPadOS 26, Android 16, and more.
Updated HALB implementation with upgraded third-party packages with improved security, stability, and long-term maintainability.
The ability to capture the client's public (WAN) IP address and pass it as a RADIUS attribute during MFA authentication, allowing administrators to enforce IP-based security policies, enable contextual access control, and improve auditing across all native clients, the user portal, and web connections.
New Cost Insights dashboard for Azure Virtual Desktop, which enables administrators to monitor and visualize estimated cloud service costs as well as cloud cost savings directly in RAS Console.
Fine-grained clipboard redirection and updated clipboard data type restrictions (plain text, RTF, images).
Improved Organizational Unit (OU) traversal for cross-domain provisioning.
The option to reassign orphaned hosts to host pools.
The ability to prevent creating new templates or template versions if the RAS agent is outdated.
Validation of domain credentials during template creation to prevent cloning failures.
Seamless, policy-driven URL redirect for User Portal (Web Client) client users to automatically migrate from one farm to another.
UI/UX improvements for the process of reconnecting to published desktops, with clear visual feedback.
Support for Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Sessions in the Windows Client app.
Clipboard History and Clipboard Sync Integration for Windows devices.
Conditional RADIUS Automation to provide more granular control for MFA based on user access context.
The ability to use Windows Credential Manager with the Windows Client app.
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA Compliance for the User Portal/Web Client.
