Exporting and Importing Parallels Client Settings

You can export current Parallels Client settings to a file to have a backup or to transfer the settings to Parallels Client installed on a different computer. The following settings are exported:

  • All existing connections including all individual connection properties.

  • Parallels Client global options.

To export the current Parallels Client settings to a file:

  1. Click main menu > Export Settings (File > Export Settings in classic interface).

  2. In the dialog that opens, click the [...] button to specify a file name and a destination folder.

  3. If you want to include credentials in the exported settings, select the Include access credentials to the exported connections option. Please note that the resulting file will contain sensitive information.

  4. Click Save to export the settings. The file is saved with the ".2xc" extension.

To import settings from a file:

  1. Click main menu > Import Settings (File > Import Settings in classic interface).

  2. In the dialog that opens, select a ".2xc" file and click Open. Please note that the Parallels Client settings stored in a file will override the current Parallels Client settings.
